Airlines
There are no direct flights in Liechtenstein. The nearest airport is the Kloten Airport in Zurich. It is at a distance of 130 km or 80 miles from the country, well connected by train & by road with around 2 hours driving time.
Entry Requirements
EU Citizens do not require a passport to enter Liechtenstein. However a valid identity card is a must. Persons of other nationality require a valid passport. Nationals of certain states as well as stateless persons and those without documents also require a visa. Information can be sought from the Swiss diplomatic and consular representations.
Customs
There are no customs formalities on the Liechtenstein-Swiss frontier except on the frontier with the Republic of Austria. The entry and customs regulations are the same as those applying to Switzerland.
Quarantine
Dogs and cats entering the customs territory of Liechtenstein/Switzerland from abroad must have a certificate from a veterinary surgeon testifying that the animal has been immunized against rabies. The vaccination must have been given at least 30 days before crossing the frontier and may not be more than one year old.

Centrum Bank AG, Hypo Investment Bank AG, LGT Bank, Liechtensteinische Landesbank AG ( with branches in Balzers, Eschen, Schaan and Triesenberg), Neue Bank AG, Private Trust Bank Corporation, Volksbank AG and Bank Wegelin (Liechtenstein) AG have branches in the country.
Shops
The shops are generally open from 8 am till 6 pm and closed for lunch between noon and 1.30 pm. Souvenir shops are open on Sundays & holidays.
