The facilities granted by the City of Buga for new the creation of new enterprises have begun to yield results, with the arrival of investors from Spain interested in building of one of the most imposing Colombia off plan properties - an entertainment park in the style of the big theme parks of the world.
So said the city’s mayor, John Harold Suárez, who believes only a few details remain to finalize the project, which the city administrators have followed closely in order to provide the tools that would allow the park to be established in the area.
“The land sites have been reviewed and issues such as land use and public services have been evaluated, and we expect the investment decision to be made within a few days. As city managers, our doors are open to facilitate the arrival of this type of business.”
He pointed out that the project requires a large land extension, and to this end different options have been looked at, but some limitations have arisen related to means of access. However, he believes that these may be overcome with the help of the city, which will also have to make some investments in aqueduct infrastructure.
According to the leader, the participation of Buga in several tourist trade shows in cities such as Panama, Guayaquil and Miami has been crucial in making business contacts that lead to establishing new businesses. It was precisely at one of these events that the first approach was made with the investors from Spain, who seek to develop entertainment projects in cities with large potential.
The mayor of Buga is currently offering tax exemptions for up to 8 years for new companies that become established in the city and generate employment.
