The town council spares no expenses for keeping the municipality in excellent condition.
“This week starts the second stage of the building of the water-conduit in “Borovetz” neighbourhood in the municipality of Varna, reported the mayor of Varna, Kiril Jordanov.
The first stage was to the value of 1.8 million levs. Reservoir and other equipment have already been built. The second stage starts now. It is to the value of 0.8 million levs. It includes partially building of the transit water-conduit and its branching.The mayor promised to finish the water-conduit by the end of the next year. The improvements are going to make the life in the neighbourhood easier.
New jeeps, which will be used for social control, were introduced in front of the city-hall. Three of the jeeps will keep under control the construction works in the area and will deal with different ecological problems. One of the jeeps will meet the needs of the police station, another will control the building projects of the municipality and one will be for common use for the attendants in the city-hall.
The building of a new automatic measurement station for control of the quality of the air was finished. It was built under the condition of a complex licence of the thermo-electric power-station, published by the minister of the environment and water of Bulgaria.
As a whole, the municipality is permanently investing in different projects, which will modernize the town and its surroundings. Varna is a quickly developing city; a municipality with a built infrastructure. It is attractive to thousands of people who spend their vacations on the Black Sea seaside. The interest in buying properties in this Bulgarian town is quickly increasing, because it is a popular sea resort with reasonable prices.
Varna is the biggest city at the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Varna’s length is over 11 km, its width, including the new residential district in nearly 9km. The city stand in tiers and follows the curves of the Bay of Varna. The city is surrounded by lots of gardens, vineyards and deciduous groves. Almost the whole territory is occupied with private country houses and belonging to them small farms. The city is a regional centre.
The fastest way to get to Varna is by airplane. It takes 50 min. from Sofia to Varna. Varna’s Airport functions throughout the whole year.The Varna’s Railway station is located in the southern part of the town. Varna is connected to all the main railways in the country. There are express trains to Sofia and Plovdiv that reach for 7 and 4:30 hours respectively.
