Al Bahr Al Ahmar
Al Bahr Al Ahmar is in the east part of Egypt, situated on the coast of the Red Sea. On the north it borders with the Eastern dessert, a mountainous region lying between Nile on the west and Red Sea on the east, which comprises almost one fourth of Egypt. The place of the region most popular with tourist is the resort town of Hurghada, which lies on the very coast of the Red Sea. The resort is famous for its sandy beaches and for the coral and exotic sea creatures that live in the waters of its coast. The underwater beauty makes this place into a favorite spot for the fans of diving. Going to the south there is another place popular with divers, the tourist villages around the working port of Safaga. Here are situated quite a few good restaurants offering variety of tasty dishes. Further to the south lies Al-Quseir, which has a long history as one of the major ports of the Red Sea. The 16th century fortress of Sultan Selim, still standing in the center of town, shows al-Quseir's former strategic importance. Today, it is a quiet resort with sandy beaches, clear waters and coral reefs. The town's narrow streets are lined with colourful bazaars which have a decidedly Bedouin accent.
